
MANILA, Philippines – More than P3 million worth of suspected shabu (crystal meth) was seized by authorities in a buy-bust operation conducted in Taguig City, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) said Thursday (Sept 12).
PDEA said the illegal drugs, weighing half a kilogram with an estimated value of P3.4 million, was confiscated from two drug suspects identified as Aijo Dinglasan Akaoka alias Noel and Christian Reyes Aguilar.
Also recovered from the suspects were sets of identification cards and two mobile phones that were used in their transactions.
PDEA said they launched the buy-bust operation at the village of Ususan at past 5 p.m. Wednesday after several days of surveilling the suspects’ activities.
Arrested suspects will face charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. – RRD (with details from Correspondent Asher Cadapan Jr.)
