MANILA, Philippines – Typhoon Onyok has exited the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) on Monday evening (September 30), according to state weather service PAGASA.
However, the trough of the weather system will still bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms in the province of Batanes.
As of 4:00 am Tuesday (October 1), typhoon Onyok was located at 695km North of Basco, Batanes with maximum sustained winds of 140 kph and gustiness of up to 170 kph.
It is moving northwestward at 30kph.
According to PAGASA, sea travel remains risky, especially for small sea vessels over the northern and eastern seaboards of Northern Luzon due to potentially rough sea conditions.
Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms throughout the day.
