MANILA, Philippines — The local government of Valenzuela has approved an ordinance that would prohibit and penalize kite-flying in the city while it is under a state of public health emergency.
The City Council passed Ordinance No. 695 Series of 2020 or the “Anti-Kite Flying Ordinance,” that seeks to prevent “kites from getting entangled with powerlines” and “causing further inconvenience and posing dangers to the city and its citizens in these trying times.”
