MANILA, Philippines – The Skyway Stage 3 will be closed temporarily starting Wednesday night, January 6, its management announced.
In an advisory posted on Twitter, the Skyway O&M Corp. said the toll road from Balintawak in Quezon City to Buendia in Makati City will be closed from 10 p.m. Wednesday to 4 a.m. Thursday to give way to construction-related activities.
The Skyway Stage 3 project partially opened to the public on December 29.
San Miguel Corp. earlier said the 18-kilometer elevated expressway will be fully opened on January 14.
Skyway 3 connects the South Luzon Expressway and NLEX and will serve as an alternative to EDSA with its access points that traverse Makati, Manila, San Juan, and Quezon City.
The toll road is expected to cut travel time between the country’s two main expressways to just 20 minutes from the 3 hours at present.
