MANILA, Philippines – The Taguig City government formally opened on Wednesday (May 19) two additional vaccination sites in the city.
Specifically, the new areas include the Cinema 1 and Cinema 5 of the Grand Canal Mall in McKinley Hill which were opened to accommodate more vaccine recipients.
“Iyong dalawang ito kakayanin na 400 (people). Ibig sabihin walong daan ang papasok dito araw araw,” said Taguig City Mayor Lino Cayetano.
“In one month, 24,000 people will be vaccinated here,” he added.
Cayetano said establishments namely, Vista Mall, SM, and Ayala Malls have also volunteered the use of their facilities as vaccination hubs.
So far, Taguig City has four mega vaccination hubs located in malls and four other community hubs located in selected schools in the city.
The local chief executive assured that all vaccination hubs are accessible and safe.
Cayetano said they will add shuttle busses that will ferry their constituents to the vaccination hubs around the city. MNP (with reports from Lea Ylagan)
