MANILA, Philippines — Malacañang again criticized Vice-President Jejomar Binay’s version of SONA (State of the Nation Address) dubbed as ‘TSONA’ (True State of the Nation Address).
Presidential spokesman Secretary Edwin Lacierda said that they do not need a reminder from the Vice President on issues and problems that need resolving, ‘The president doesn’t remind him of things, we are all responsible adults, we are all responsible government officials we are fully cognizant of the roles what we play.’
According to Malacañang, they are prepared to resolve the country’s problems in the remaining months of the administration.
“His TSONA was ‘charot’ (a joke) number 1. Number 2, we recognize all the problems that he mentioned. Hey but look were addressing all of them,” said Lacierda.
Malacañang is not threatened by VP Binay in the 2016 national elections in relation to the continuity of reforms initiated by the Aquino administration. (NEL MARIBOJOC / UNTV News)
