QUEZON CITY, Philippines — Incoming PNP chief P/CSupt. Ronald Dela Rosa is not adding security details despite reports that drug lords inside the New Bilibid Prison have offered and even raised the bounty on his head to P50 million.

“There isn’t better defense than my faith in the Lord. The Lord is my greatest security,” Dela Rosa bravely said.

Gen. Dela Rosa adds that he is serious when it comes to his campaign against illegal drugs thus he is determined to spend his remaining years in office, delivering to the people the best service he could as a law enforcer.

The Philippine National Police is ready to provide Dela Rosa with additional protection because he deserves it as the next police chief.

“He is tasked with a great responsibility and the office he is representing. That’s the reason why he really deserve to be protected,” said PNP PIO Chief Wilben Mayor.

Mayor explains that the chief of police is entitled to a maximum of 10 security aides under police security protocol. Each of them has to undergo specific training on how to secure the PNP chief.
