CALOOCAN CITY, Philippines — The “Song of the Week” in the August 2nd week’s A Song of Praise or ASOP Music Festival weekly finals was a composition of Joseph Ponce.
The song was entitled “Mula sa Aking Puso” interpreted by Carlo David.
Guest judge Top Suzara liked the song as it fits his own genre.
“Can I sing this? Can I borrow it? I hope you share it to others when the album ID released. I’d like to borrow it, can I?” Top Suzara said
“It’s flattering to hear him say that he wants to borrow the song,’ composer Joseph Ponce said.
“I love it. I want to sing the song. I want to use it in the church,” interpreter Carlo David exclaimed.
It won over songs “Di Ka Niya Iiwan” by Romeo del Monte interpreted by Genesis Mendoza and “If We’re with God” by Pamela Camille Pajarillaga through the rendition of Rhap Salazar.
Also among the judges were singer actress Carla Martinez and Doktor Musiko Mon del Rosario. — UNTV News & Rescue
