Members of the Special Action Force (SAF) deployed in the New Bilibid Prison (NBP) in Muntinlupa City must be vigilant at all times so that no contraband would have a sly slip inside the penitentiary.
This, following the challenge posed by Senator Panfilo Lacson who said he would make ways to sneak a cellular phone inside the detention facility to test the level of security being implemented by SAF.
“Be vigilant and watchful because Senator Lacson will definitely order someone to test us. We will lose face if they validated that we’re relaxed. That’s another issue,” Dela Rosa addressed SAF personnel.
Dela Rosa also denies rumors that SAF troopers are using force against some inmates.
“They just want to destroy the SAF because they are having a hard time inside. Imagine, for a very long time since the Bilibid is established, they have been enjoying the luxury inside. Now that stringent measures are imposed, they are fabricating issues to dishonor the SAF. are they out of their minds? Dela Rosa defended SAF.
The PNP chief says they have received information of alleged bribing activities among inmates who would pose as complainant against the SAF troopers to have them removed from the NBP.
“Now you will experience how is it really like being a prisoner because the SAF is on guard. Use your money if you want, you drug lords, to degrade the SAF. Create a complainant and invents issues for the media.’
