MANILA, Philippines — A common problem at airports is communication between immigration officers and non- English speaking Chinese nationals who enter the country.

For this reason, the Bureau of Immigration shall install twelve Chinese speaking interpreters at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).

Without translators or interpreters, Chinese tourists are oftentimes prohibited from entering the country because they are unable to clearly explain their purpose of visit in the Philippines. (Victor Cosare / UNTV News and Rescue)
