President Rodrigo Duterte declares Monday, September 12, 2016, as a regular holiday throughout the country in observance of Eid’l Adha (Feast of Sacrifice).
Eid’l Adha is one of the two greatest feasts of Islam.
The National Commission on Muslim Filipinos has recommended that the observance of Eid’l Adha will be on 12th of September 2016. And by the virtue of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte, under the Proclamation No. 56 Republic Act No. 9849, it was formally signed in City of Manila on 5th day of September 2016.
