The chairman of the House Committee on Justice insists on presenting high profile inmate Jaybee Sebastian at the hearing of the alleged national Bilibid drug operations despite the injury he attained after the stabbing incident at the national penitentiary.
“What is his injury, is it debilitating? If debilitating, he cannot really come. Then probably we can spare him for the next hearing,” Rep. Reynaldo Umali said.
The committee will resume its investigation on Bilibid drug trade on October 5 hoping Sebastian will be present.
House Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez, says, if necessary, he will allow the presentation of alleged private video of Sen. Leila De Lima and his former driver Ronnie Dayan who is also suspected to be involved in illegal drugs trade.
“Well, if necessary, to connect if there is truly a personal relationship,. If Senator De Lima refused to appear here in the House of Representatives. So, let the people judge if the sex video is true,” Alvarez said.
On the New Bilibid Prison’s stabbing incident, the house speaker believes that it may possibly be connected to the ongoing house probe on the Bilibid drugs operation.

“Well, that is sad because, apparently, there are forces who don’t want Jaybee Sebastian to testify. And look at the motive, if who don’t want to know the truth,” Alvarez said.
“Of all these years, why there are apparent killings and the targets are the intended resource person announced already by the Committee on Justice?” he added.
The house leadership has no plans yet of including the NBP stabbing incident in the investigation. — Nel Maribojoc | UNTV News & Rescue
