MANILA, Philippines – Malacañang believes President Rodrigo Duterte’s war on drugs will not result in economic sanctions.
This, after the Human Rights Watch, a human rights watchdog, said the bilateral relations of the Philippines with other countries will be affected if the government will not act on stopping drug-related killings in the country.
Presidential Spokesperson Ernesto Abella said all countries with strong trade relations with the Philippines definitely understand and respect its sovereignty.
“These countries continue to treat us with mutual respect; and cognizant of our sovereignty, and they continue to support us in dealing with our domestic challenges and in achieving our national goals without undue interference,” Abella said. – UNTV News & Rescue
