MANILA, Philippines — President Rodrigo Duterte arrived on Friday at the national highway of Brgy. Batong Buhay Sablayan Occidental Mindoro where a Dimple Star bus unit figured in a fatal accident last Tuesday night.
The president has expressed dismay over the accident especially since 19 of its passengers had died, while more than 20 others were injured.
Following the incident, the president threatened to order the detention of the owners of all bus units in the country that have no proper permits.
The chief executive also visited the wake of the casualties in the accident and vowed to shoulder the burial expenses. — UNTV News & Rescue
