FILE: Some police uniforms in a tailor shop
The Philippine National Police (PNP) wants to have control over the selling of police uniforms.
This was after an encounter in Laguna where the slain kidnappers were in police uniform.
Even the rebels can also take hold of these uniforms.
The PNP wants to impose stricter measures in the sale of said uniforms and assignment of serial numbers on each set.
“Serialized so malalaman natin kung ang uniporme ay peke o hindi (It would be serialized so we would know whether the uniform is fake or not),” said Directorate for Research and Development ( DRD) director, PDIR Efren Perez. — Lea Ylagan | UNTV News & Rescue
