Mariel Soriano suffered injuries to the nose, mouth and bodily pains after her car rammed into the center island in Sasa, Davao City, Friday.
A witness said Soriano was driving her car beyond speed limit when it suddenly swerved off the road and slammed into the center island hitting another vehicle.
In the initial investigation of the police, Soriano and her husband were quarreling inside the car when the incident happened.
“Buti na lang pagkarinig niya sa impact, agad itong pumreno (It’s a good thing that she stepped on the brakes upon hearing the impact),” said the eyewitness.
Soriano was brought to the Southern Philippines Medical Center after UNTV News and Rescue administered first aid to her wounds.
