MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) launched Wednesday their new program, Balay Silangan Reformation Program.
PDEA Director General Aaron Aquino said Balay Silangan will serve as “an alternative intervention” for people suffering from addiction and are not allowed to undergo medical treatment.
Four pilot sites will be opened in General Santos, Cabanatuan City, Capiz and Caloocan City.
The program will incorporate general intervention such as education, health awareness and psychological/spiritual/physical activities like counseling, moral recovery, and values formation. — UNTV News & Rescue
