QUEZON CITY, Philippines – Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) Director Ronald Dela Rosa made a surprise visit to the detention facility of the Intelligence Service of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (ISAFP) inside Camp Aguinaldo, Wednesday, May 9.
Bato said he wants to check on the situation of high-profile inmates detained in ISAFP and to make sure that they are prevented from transacting illegal drugs.
Dela Rosa said he is satisfied with the security being imposed in the facility.
“Mahihirapan silang mag connive. Papayag ba ang AFP na magkakaroon ng drug trading, drug transaction within their compound ng Camp Aguinaldo? Hindi papayag iyan,” Bato said.

During the inspection, the BuCor chief made a short talk with the eight high-profile inmates in the facility and encourages them to refrain from any wrong doing to be of help to the government in pursuing their former colleagues and stop illegal drug trade in the country.
“I talked to them sabi ko kahit na kayo ay mga state witness, pwede kayong mga dying witness kung kayo ay magpapatuloy sa kalakalan sa droga,” he said.
(I talked to them and told them that even though they are state witnesses, they can turn into “dying witnesses” if they continue dealing drugs.)
The eight inmates – Herbert Colangco, Robert Durano, Jerry Pipino, Noel Martinez, German Agojo, Jaime Patio, Thomas Donina and Rodolfo Magleo – were transferred to the ISAFP facility from the New Bilibid Prisons after they turned into state witnesses against detained Senator Leila De Lima. — Lea Ylagan | UNTV News & Rescue
