Bahay Pagbabago drug reformists
BULACAN, Philippines – A total of 25 drug surrenderers have successfully completed the three-month reformation program of the government at Bahay Pagbabago in the town of Baliuag, Bulacan.
During the three-month period, they were trained to do house chores, vegetable farming, solar lamp manufacturing and some livelihood programs facilitated by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).
Each of the reformists received a training certificate from TESDA and relief packs from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) as gifts for their waiting relatives.
Meanwhile, the Philippine National Police (PNP) advised the reformists to totally refrain from using illegal drugs and join the authorities in monitoring other drug surrenderers who are still under rehabilitation towards full recovery.
“Paulit-ulit naming inire-remind na sana tuloy tuloy na ang pagbabago natin. Alam ninyo ba na may mga mangilan-ngilan lang naman na naka-graduate na sa Bahay Pagbabago sa Region 3 na nahuli pa rin. Iyong iba nanlaban pa. Kaya sa amin lang tuloy-tuloy ang pagbabago at huwag tayong tumulad sa kanila,” said PSupt. Froilan Uy, Chief of Baliuag Police. –
