MANILA, Philippines – The Bureau of Immigration (BI) insists that its decision to forfeit the missionary visa of Australian nun Patricia Fox is final and executory.
The agency added that it is ready to implement the expulsion order anytime for Fox’s immediate departure.
“The motion for reconsideration is final and executory. So she has to leave the country by the date set doon sa (in the) order,” said Sandoval.
Nevertheless, Immigration Spokesperson Dana Sandoval said they will wait for the decision of the Department of Justice (DOJ) on Fox’s appeal.
The Aussie nun’s legal counsel previously said that they will exert all legal remedies to appeal to the DOJ and petition for a review of the BI’s decision.
Malacañang, through Presidential Spokesperson Secretary Harry Roque, said it respects the BI’s decision to forfeit Fox’s visa as it is required by the law. – Rosalie Coz |UNTV News & Rescue
