The Philippine National Police have arrested over 108 suspects in a series of anti-criminality operations (SACO) in Rizal Province.
Alleged offenders were arrested for cases of frustrated murder, homicide, physical injury, robbery, theft and car napping.
Thirty-nine of the suspects are on the wanted list; six of whom are among PNP’s most wanted persons; and two were killed in Antipolo City.
PNP Rizal Acting Provincial Director PSSupt. Lou Frias Evangelista said, “Nung nakita po nila yung ating kapulisan na parating na ay pinutukan po sila. Syempre gumanti po yung ating kapulisan. At sa kasamaang palad ay naneutralize po nila yung dalawang tao na tungkol sa search warrant.”
(The suspects open fired when they saw the police approaching. The police retaliated of course and unfortunately killed two of the warrant’s subjects.)
Police confiscated from the arrested personalities seven loose firearms which include hand guns, shotguns and a hand grenade. They also found 237 sachets of suspected shabu and four sachets of suspected marijuana.
