QUEZON CITY, Philippines – The Philippine National Police (PNP) is now in custody of the primary suspect in the killing of Nueva Ecija priest, Richmond Nilo.
This was confirmed by PNP Chief Director General Oscar Albayalde on the day of the priest’s burial service in Nueva Ecija.
The suspect was identified as Adell Roll Milan who was arrested in Barangay Malapit, San Isidro, nueva Ecija at 6:30 p.m. of Thursday, June 14.
Albayalde added that an altar boy positively identified Milan as the one who shot the priest while facilitating a mass.
Authorities are still uncertain of the motive of the crime, however, they are looking into three possible motives of the suspect: land dispute; the priest’s active support for victims of sexual abuse; and conflict with another religious group. – UNTV News & Rescue
