The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) has expressed interest in assisting the Philippine National Police (PNP) in their investigation into the killing of Nueva Ecija priest, Father Richmond Nilo.
PNP Chief Police Director General Oscar Albayalde said the NBI and PNP will conduct a parallel investigation on the case.
“Kung meron silang makuha na additional evidence then they will share it with us since kami naman ang unang nakapag file at naintindihan naman nila yun,” he said.
(If they gather additional evidence then they will share it with us since we filed the case first; they understand the situation.)
Albayalde went to the NBI office on Monday to discuss the case upon the invitation of the agency.
The investigation also aims to clear people’s doubts that arrested suspect, Adell Roll Milan, is just a fall guy. — Lea Ylagan | UNTV News & Rescue
