MANILA, Philippines — Only one of four Filipinos are aware of the proposed federal system of government, according to the latest survey of pollster Social Weather Stations (SWS).
The survey, which was released Thursday (June 28), also found out that 75% of the respondents only learned about the federal system of government during the conduct of the survey.
Awareness about the federal system of government was highest in Mindanao has the highest awareness about the system at 37%; followed by Metro Manila at 28%; Visayas at 22%; and Balance Luzon at 20%.
The same survey also said that 37% percent favored a shift to federal system; 29% expressed opposition to it; while 34% were undecided about the issue.
