A fire erupted at the construction site outside SM Megamall in Mandaluyong City on Thursday night, June 28.
At around 7:47pm the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA)reported that the blaze already reached the third alarm.
Edsa Shaw service road was temporarily closed to traffic to prioritize fire trucks and rescue vehicles.
Based on initial investigation, Mandaluyong City police chief PSSupt. Moises Villaceran said, minor explosions were heard at the workers’ barracks in the basement where the fire is believed to have started.
According to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) the fire was declared under control at 11:25 pm.
