QUEZON CITY, Philippines – Authorities arrested the primary suspect in the killing of General Tinio, Nueva Ecija Mayor Ferdinand Bote on Wednesday morning (July 11).
PNP Region 5 Director PCSupt. Arnel Escobal confirmed that the suspect, identified as Florencio Suarez, was nabbed at a checkpoint in Andayan National Highway in Barangay Cabasag Del Gallego in Camarines Sur.
Suarez was with a companion named Robert Gumacay when he was arrested on board a beige Toyota Avanza with vehicle plate number PGW-134.
Authorities recovered from Suarez a .45 caliber pistol.
Suarez is now under the custody of Del Gallego Municipal Police. – Lea Ylagan / Marje Pelayo
