MAKATI CITY, Philippines – Two MRT-3 maintenance vehicles collided early dawn on Wednesday, September 26.
The incident happened between Buendia and Guadalupe stations around 3:00 a.m. this morning.
Six maintenance personnel were injured who were immediately taken to the nearby hospital.
The involved vehicles were removed from site an hour later.
The incident delayed train services in MRT-3 for 30 minutes as operations were resumed only at around 6:00 a.m., causing inconvenience to passengers during a rush hour.
The Department of Transportation (DOTr) and the MRT management apologized for the mishap.
An investigation is underway as to what had caused the collision of the two maintenance vehicles. – UNTV News and Rescue
