RIZAL, Philippines — Over 200 crime and drug suspects have been arrested in the simultaneous anti-criminality operations of the Rizal Provincial Police Office.
Police Senior Superintendent Lou Frias Evangelista said the operations were held over the weekend in compliance with the directive of the Philippine National Police.
The suspects were arrested for various cases such as theft, illegal gambling, illegal possession of fire arms and ammunition, and violation of the comprehensive dangerous drugs act of 2002.
Rizal PNP Provincial Director, PSSupt Lou Friaz Evangelista vowed continuity in the operations.
“Continuous pa rin ang operations dito sa anti-criminalities namin, lalong-lalo na sa illegal drugs at mga eight focus crimes. So rest assured na we will continuously do our share para mapatahimik po ang probinsya ng Rizal,” he said.
Authorities have confiscated 63 loose fire arms which include shotguns and hand guns.
They have also recovered 350 sachets of confiscated shabu, 13 sachets of marijuana, 85 motorcycles and 3 vehicles that are believed to have been stolen.
