QUEZON CITY, Philippines – Three cadets from the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) were put into isolation over complaints of sexual harassment against two plebes transpired on October 6.
PNPA Director Chief Superintendent Joseph Adnol said the assault happened at the backyard of the newbies’ barracks when one of the suspects, a 2nd class cadet ordered a 4th class cadet to perform oral sex on him as punishment for disobedience.
PNPA cadets are ranked accordingly, with 1st class as being the highest.
Implicated in the incident were two 3rd class cadets who served as witnesses.
The three suspects were charged with criminal case of hazing.
Further investigation is underway from which an administrative case is being drafted against the three. – Marje Pelayo (with reports from Lea Ylagan)
