LEGAZPI CITY, Philippines — Thieves ransacked the house of Ako Bicol Partylist Rep. Alfredo Garbin Jr in Barangay Buraguis on Sunday (December 23).
According to the initial report by the PNP-PRO5, unknown men entered Garbin’s house through the awning window of the comfort room on the second floor.
The thieves took Garbin’s personal bag containing more than P500,000 worth of cash and checks, wristwatches and other valuables.
The incident happened while Garbin was busy attending the wake of his colleague, Ako Bicol Congressman Rodel Batocabe, who was slain by still unidentified gunmen on Saturday (December 22). – Marje Pelayo (with reports from Grace Casin)
