QUEZON CITY, Philippines – Jerome Eulogio seems to have not learned his lesson on the consequences of his involvement in illegal drugs.
The 26-year-old was arrested in Area 1, Barangay Pasong Tamo on Thursday (December 27) for peddling illegal drugs.
Eulogio was recently released from jail for a similar case.
Also nabbed in the incident were live-in partners Kaye Torres and Johnson Rase together with a criminology student.
Authorities confiscated five plastic sachets of suspected shabu and the P200 buy-bust money.
The suspects admitted being users but denied owning the recovered substance.
“Doon po kasi kami sa kabilang bahay. Hindi po, sir. Gumagamit pero hindi po kami naaktuhan na ganoon. Iyan pong nakita nila hindi po iyan sa amin,” suspect Kaye Torres said.
“Hindi naman po totoo ang nakuha. Wala naman po talagang sa amin na nakuha. Ewan ko po. Nagulat lang po kami pati ang pera,” Johnson Rase argued.
According to Station 6 Commander PSupt. Joel Villanueva, Jerome’s house was turned into a drug den where some regular costumers of illegal drugs hold pot sessions.
“Target namin dito si Jerome, iyong bagong laya sa kulungan. Ang dati niyang kaso sa drug din. Noong nakalaya siya, bumalik uli sa dati niyang Gawain. Ang mga parokyano niya ang mga tricycle driver kasi tricycle driver din siya,” explained the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Chief.
Rase denied the allegations.
“Kumakain lang ako sa bahay kasama ko ang pamilya ko. Nagulat nga ako. Iyong isinama na nila ako. Sa sugal lang ako nahuli dating kaso ko,” Rase said. – Marje Pelayo (with reports from Asher Cadapan Jr.)
