
Nelie Ramel and her friends opt to go to Divisoria Market in Manila for their school supply needs. The school supplies they buy are given to children during their outreach programs.
She said they prefer buying at Divisoria because of the affordable prices.
“Syempre po abot kaya. At tsaka dito kasi pwede matawaran unlike sa bookstore hindi pwedeng tawaran, fixed na ang price, (Of course it is affordable and you can haggle here unlike in bookstores. The prices there are fixed),” she said.
However, several vendors in Divisoria said prices of school supplies went up. These are the prices of some school supplies as of Thursday (May 23):
