
MANILA, Philippines – The number coding scheme or the Unified Vehicular Volume Reduction Program (UVRRP) in Metro Manila will be suspended on Wednesday (June 5), the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) announced on Monday.
In its Twitter post, the MMDA said the number coding scheme will be lifted in observance of the Eid’l Fitr, which marks the end of Ramadan.
In a separate Twitter post, the Makati City government also announced the suspension of number coding scheme on Wednesday.
President Rodrigo Duterte earlier announced that the observance of the Eid’l Fitr is a non-working holiday.
