MANILA, Philippines – The Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-MEID) has approved the risk-level classifications of cities and provinces for the month of November, Malacañang announced Friday.
In a press briefing, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said that the areas of Mountain Province, Catanduanes, and Zamboanga City will be placed under modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) from November 1 to 15.
Abra, Cagayan, Isabela, City of Santiago, Nueva Vizcaya, and Quirino shall be under general community quarantine (GCQ) with heightened restrictions from November 1 to 30.
Meanwhile, the following areas will be under GCQ for the whole month:
- Ifugao
- Benguet
- Apayao
- Kalinga
- Ilocos Sur
- Dagupan City
- Batanes
- Occidental Mindoro
- Oriental Mindoro
- Puerto Princesa
- Palawan
- Albay
- Naga City
- Camarines Norte
- Tacloban City
- Zamboanga Sibugay
- Zamboanga del Norte
- Zamboanga del Sur
- General Santos City
- Sarangani
- North Cotabato
- South Cotabato
- Agusan del Norte
- Agusan del Sur
- Surigao del Norte
- Surigao del Sur
- Butuan City
- Dinagat Islands
- Cotabato City
- Lanao del Sur
Roque said that other areas not mentioned shall be placed under modified general community quarantine for the whole month of November.
He also said that the cities and provinces under the risk-level classification are areas not yet included in the implementation of expanded COVID-19 Alert Levels System.
