MANILA, Philippines – Vice President Jejomar Binay supports the advancement of peace in the Mindanao region thru the establishment of a Bangsamoro government.
But according to the Vice President, the proposed bill must not be rushed for legislation merely because of the appointed deadline.
“We need thorough study on this matter if this gets approved and we see problems, we need not rush this and give it enough time, it must not be finished yet just because of the deadline, I don’t believe in that,” Binay said.
Malacañang said that the administration is determined to finish the peace talks with the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) before President Aquino’s term ends.
The President also wants the results of the BBL legislation to be acceptable to everyone. (Nel Maribojoc / UNTV News)
