MANILA, Philippines — Philippine National Police will regret, if the report that Department of Interior and Local Government Sec. Mar Roxas will resign as secretary is true.
This is the statement of PIO Chief P/CSupt. Generoso Cerbo regarding the reports in the newspapers.
Cerbo said, the PNP under the leadership of the secretary is sailing smoothly, having initiated several projects like the Oplan Lambat-Sibat.
“We have really drastically reduced the crime incidents not only in Metro Manila but in other regions as well. Sec. Mar Roxas is also an instrument in the other projects of the PNP-MORESO in the aspect of capability enhancement program.
Sec. Roxas denied right away that he will resign from his position.
Based on the secretary’s message, he has no plans to resign and he will continue to serve on the straight path.
He also said, he will not refuse whatever the president will put on his plate for the advancement and broadening of the straight path.
