QUEZON CITY, Philippines — More than 68 million pesos benefits were already distributed to all the families of SAF44.
Based on the summary of benefits issued by Philippine National Police dated April 24, more than 42 million pesos went to the beneficiaries.
Eleven million pesos came from the President’s social fund, 9 million pesos from the SAF member’s cumulative leave, more than 7 million pesos from their six months’ salary and allowances while 14 million pesos came from NAPOLCOM burial benefits.
In addition, a total of 1.6 million pesos were also given to the families coming from the PNP pension and the NAPOLCOM pension.
Another 24 million peso benefits from the Public Safety Mutual Benefit Funds Incorporated were also given to the families of Gallant 44.
Outgoing PNP-PIO Chief P/CSupt. Generoso Cerbo, “Sila po lahat ay tumatanggap na as of this date. Zero pending na po para sa ating Gallant 44.”

Cerbo also said that the families will also receive financial help from other civic groups.
These benefits could total to 20 million pesos including the 6 million peso proceeds of the songs for Heroes concert produced by UNTV.
PNP-PIO stated, “Ang PNP po, in partnership yung talagang civic oriented organization, private donors, kami po ay naglunsad ng fund raising para makalikom ng additional funds para maitulong sa pamilya na miyembro ng SAF44.”
