MANILA, Philippines — Loud cheers erupted at MOA Arena as spectators were treated to a sneak peek of new programs and public service projects by the only public service channel in the country – UNTV.
Celebrating its 11th anniversary last Tuesday, the station promises a broader public service programs and efforts for its fellowmen.
Aside from social services rendered to thousands of kasangbahays by government agencies such as SSS, Philhealth, Philpost and many others, 911-UNTV Rescue was also launched.
Two kasangbahays also won a brand new car and house in a raffle draw.
Las Piñas representative Mark Villar graced the event.
“First of all I would like to greet UNTV as they celebrate their anniversary. I wish you all the best and continued success,” said Villar.
Wish FM 107.5, UNTV’s media partner, also joined the merriment by providing a special concert and entertainment.
The crowd was serenaded by local music artists such as Rachel Alejandro, Jayson Fernandez, Gwyneth Dorado, Voices of Five, Philipp Go, Kris Lawrence, Ruth Regine Reyno, Joshua Dionisio, Leah Patricio and many more.
Meanwhile, newly-formatted shows were also presented such as good morning Kuya, Easy Lang Yan, Cook Eat Right, Istorya, Get It Straight with Daniel Razon, Bread And Butter and 911-UNTV.
Kasangbahays will also have new programs to watch out for like Troy OnThe Job hosted by actor Troy Montero.
“Gonna share my different experiences with different jobs. It feels great, I thank Kuya and everyone here in UNTV for being so open to us and I can’t wait to be working with them,” shared Montero.
Different field and sports techniques will also be tackled in the new program Playbook to be hosted by Nico Palanca and Zara Carbonell. (UNTV News)
