PASIG CITY, Philippines — Team HOR Solons are determined to go through the semi-final round of the biggest league of public servants — UNTV Cup season 4.
The HOR Solons had no recorded win in its four games in the previous season.
“We hope that this time the HOR will not simply compete but we will win,” said Fernando Ocampo, head coach of HOR Solons.
The team admits that they had struggled in the last season because 90% of their players were lawmakers and not all had been able to play due to official businesses.
So for this season, the team decided on a workable formula of, “50 percent staff, 50 percent congressmen,” according to Rep. Niel Tupas Jr., team manager of HOR Solons.
The HOR Solons has a stronger lineup with former PBA players Arnold Gamboa , Gerard Francisco and Francis Adriano who is currently a councilor of Santolan, Pasig.
In addition to their force is former PBL player and currently La Salle Green Archer team captain vice mayor Francis Zamora.
The HOR Solons will be battling against the newest team Ombudsman Graft Busters, which will be led by former PBA players Ej Feihl and Bernzon Franco as well as former PBL player Edsel Del Rosario on Thursday at Ynares Sports Arena. (BERNARD DADIS / UNTV News)
