MMDA Black Wolves registered their third win in five games as they walloped Ombudsman Graft Busters 79-57 in the second to the last playing date of UNTV Cup Season 4 first round eliminations at Ynares Sports Arena.
UNTV Cup, the public service channel’s basketball league where cash prizes are donated to charities is led by multi-awarded broadcaster and Mr. Public Service Daniel Razon.
Blackwolves guard Jose Gragasin led the MMDA attack with 13 points; six out of nine from the field and had one triple and a steal to bag the best player of the game honors.
Big man Cyril Santiago dominated the paint with 12 markers, 14 boards, an assist, steal and a block as MMDA marched on to the second round eliminations with 3-2 win loss slate and will next face the Group A teams of PNP, NHA, Malacañang and Senate.
Graft Busters forward Bernzon Franco, the lone Ombudsman double digit scorer in the game, finished with 39 markers as the rookie team ended their first season winless in five games.
