QUEZON CITY, Philippines — It is the mandate of the Philippine National Police (PNP) top recruit 10,000 new policemen every year. But this 2016, the PNP will be needing 21,000 new policemen.
“The PNP is in need of new applicants because the current police to citizen ratio is 1 is to 700 but the ideal is 1 is to 500 because we need new applicants,” PNP Spokesperson PCSupt. Wilben Mayor said.
The said number will be needed by the PNP for deployment to areas lacking police officers.
Some of the requirements for aspirants is a college degree and an eligibility test by the National Police Commission.

“But this is a noble profession and those who want to apply, who had a heart willing to serve, we are encouraging you to apply,” Mayor further added.
