Meanwhile, the search continues for the next secretaries of Health Department, Department of Trade and Industry, Department Of Environment and Natural Resources and Tourism Department.

Duterte assigned a number of veteran luminaries from the Philippine National Police to head particularly sensitive agencies. The new president elect assured that, “they are all men of integrity, honesty.”

He said, he personally handpicked them for the agencies that he deems critical and corrupt, particularly the Bureau of Immigration , NBI and LTFRB.

According to Duterte, he will give his Cabinet a free hand in managing their respective departments.

Meanwhile, Duterte remains firm in not giving any cabinet position to incoming vice-president Leni Robredo.

The reason for this, “Wala ako talaga. Non-committal ako dyan. You know why? Kilala ko si Bong-Bong Marcos; I do not want to hurt him. Leni should understand that he belongs to the opposite side, “ explained Duterte. (UNTV News)
