BATANGAS, Philippines — A medical mission was held in Lipa City, Batangas organized by UNTV and Kamanggagawa Foundation.

Though it is considered a first-class municipality, more residents are still poor and need medical attention.

Federico is among them. He needs a pair of eyelasses as his vision is getting poorer.

“This is a big help since I could no longer read. Now I have this so it’s better now,” said Federico thankfully.

Aminah was thankful that she was able to consult her condition and avail for free medicine.

“We thank you for helping poor people like us who can’t afford the expenses of medical consultation and medicine,” Aminah said.

Grace who is a single parent, availed legal consultation. She is seeking financial support for her three children from his estranged husband.

“From all the missions that I attended, it is just now that I was able to avail free legal consultation that is very good. A lot of poor people like us we have nothing to afford a lawyer who could tell us what to do,” said Grace.

Overall, at least 700 residents were able to avail the free medical mission from the request of the city police station.

“To Kuya Daniel and Bro Eli, thank you so much for allowing a medical mission here in our place. We hope that in the future activities of the Lipa Police Station, you will also be there to join us,” said PO3 Anna Noriega.

Medical missions are among the projects of UNTV and Kamanggagawa Foundation held in various parts of the country to serve especially the poor and the needy.
