Pinoy Patriotic Movement staged a prayer vigil in Toronto, Canada in support to Canadian national Robert Hall and the rest of the victims being held captive by the Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG).

The deadline for the ransom being demanded by the Abu Sayyaf Group in exchange for the release of Canadian national Robert Hall is already on Monday.

Hall is currently with a Filipina and a Norwegian national being held captive by the ASG since they were kidnapped in October 2015.

Thus, the group Pinoy Patriotic Movement in Canada is appealing to President-elect Rodrigo Duterte for the immediate rescue of the victims.

“This is for the kidnapping of the French-Canadian Robert Hall. His life is in danger until June 13. So, we ask the President to act on this. I know that you’re still not the president of the Republic of the Philippines right now but I totally believe on behalf of Pinoy in Canada Patriotic Movement that you can help,” said Joey Abrenilla, a member of the said group.

It can be recalled that in April, the bandits beheaded another Canadian national John Ridsel because the government refused to give ransom money.

Now, the group is demanding P300 million for the release of Hall.

During the G7 Summit, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau maintained to uphold the Canadian government’s no ransom policy for the victims.

“One of the issues that certainly came up was in discussing security and terrorism. Our renewed resolve to ensure that we do not pay ransom to terrorists taking hostages,” Trudeau said.

The group will constantly monitor on the developments of the case until the deadline.
