“We will treat them like ordinary criminals.”
In line with the order of President-elect Rodrigo Duterte, incoming police Chief P/CSupt. Ronald Dela Rosa has warned 35 local government officials allegedly involved in illegal drug trades.
Dela Rosa said they will not exempt anyone from their campaign against illegal drugs.
“I don’t care whether you are the mayor or you have been re-elected because of drug money. We don’t do special treatment here,” Dela Rosa said.
Gen. Bato will hold a massive re-organization within the PNP as soon as he assumes office as part of his campaign in combating illegal drugs and criminality.
He says he will reshuffle 15 regional directors to ensure that everyone is doing his job well.
“I will choose someone who could deliver and cannot be swayed by anyone influential out there. That’s my main criteria,” Dela Rosa added.
He is targeting to achieve a 50% accomplishment against illegal drugs on his first three months in office.
