QUEZON CITY, Philippines — The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) wants the next administration to continue many of their projects.

Earlier, the board laid down all their recommendations, which include:

The strict implementation of the joint administrative order that imposes higher penalties to violators; augmentation of the garage inspection especially on taxis and buses; the drivers academy which trains public utility drivers to be more responsible motorists; empowering the Oplan Hubaran that prohibits buses from installing advertisements that block the view of passengers and drivers; continuation of the point-to-point bus service and express bus connect; the establishment of the integrated terminal system;the modernization of public transport and the continuation of the transport network service like Uber and Grab.

“I hope that the next administration will continue all of these projects,” said LTFRB chairm Winston Ginez.

On the chairman’s valediction meeting earlier with the bus and truck operators, Ginez said that the regulation of the transport network companies is one of his great achievements.

He added that the Philippines is the first in the world to issue a regulation for the transport network company.

“The Philippines is the only country in the world who issues a regulation on a nationwide and countrywide basis. Many countries like the United States only issue it only by state. We implement in all over the country,” said Ginez proudly.

Ginez also said that he will be in constant communication with incoming LTFRB Chairman Atty. Martin Delgra to tackle issues and problems concerning the agency.
