MAKATI CITY — Two motorcycles burst into flames on Gil Puyat corner Paseo De Roxas Avenue, Makati City after crashing against each other at past midnight this morning.
A cellphone video captured by Mar Cris Coloma, shows the bikes being slowly consumed by fire until it was put out by the Bureau of Fire Protection.
The two riders identified as Aaron Jordan Tallada and Ricardo Peroy, were rushed to the hospital after suffering injuries from being thrown off their motorbikes during the collision.
Based on eye witness account, Tallada was traversing along Gil Puyat Avenue when Peroy suddenly took a left turn toward Paseo de Roxas from Gil Puyat, causing both riders to meet head-on.
An investigation is underway to determine who was at fault. Footage from a closed circuit television camera (CCTV) is expected to shed light on what really happened. (BENEDICT GALAZAN/UNTV News)
