More than a thousand policemen stationed at Camp Crame have received promotion today.
This is aside from more than 29, 000 cops nationwide who also got promoted.
During the oath taking earlier, PNP Chief Ronald’Bato’ Dela Rosa thanked and commended the promoted cops for their service to the country. He also told police officers to help correct the actions of other erring cops.
“If you see something wrong from your people, spot the correction,” Dela Rosa said.
Bato says the performance of the national police force is generally good. But he admits some police units are lagging behind the other good performing units. He says this is due to the lack of support from local chief executives.
“These local executives are negligent lukewarm or refuse to help our policemen in their fight against illegal drugs.”
Dela rosa also assured that the PNP is already investigating the alleged cases of extra judicial killings.
“Our police is already investigating those extra judicial killings (…) Later maybe, you will hear or see suspects of extra judicial killing being victims of extra judicial killings.”
