MANILA — Presidential Communication Secretary Martin Andanar in a press conference revealed that President Rodrigo Duterte completed the final draft of his first State of the Nation address only last Saturday night.
“When I read the speech ayoko ‘pong mag exaggerate pero the first time I read the speech it made me cry,” said Andanar.

Andanar also said that the President has always been involved in the drafting of the speech which has been revised more than ten times.
The said speech is estimated to last for more than 30 minutes.
Meanwhile, many Davaoeños are excited to hear about the country’s current state from President Duterte.
“But first, I will ask my friends and acquaintances to watch [the SONA]. I know every Filipino is excited to hear the speech of our president. I know it’s not only me but all of us Filipinos should really listen to the President’s State of the Nation address, ” said Ramon Sombilon, a Davaoeño.
Jennifer Sogut, also a Davaoeño, said, “I am excited for Pres. Duterte’s address. I am really hoping for a continuous change in the Philippines.”
United in their hopes, Davaoeños expressed their positive outlook for the anticipated change in the country.
