MANILA — The Supreme Court has issued a temporary restraining order enjoining the local governments of Manila, Quezon City and Navotas from implementing their curfew ordinances.
The court also ordered the local governments of the three cities to comment on the petition filed by youth group Samahan Ng Progresibong Kabataan.
The group filed a petition before the Supreme Court last Friday asking to nullify the curfew ordinances of the three cities and declare it contrary to Republic Act 9344 or the Juvenile Justice and Welfare Act.
